Military and Family Life Counseling Program is now available to Salt Creek military families!

We understand that military families face unique challenges related to school enrollment, transfers, placement, and graduation due to frequent relocating in service to our country. To ensure that our military families have the support they need, the schools with the highest enrollment of military-connected students have access to Military Family Life Counselors to help guide them and connect them to various resources available to them.

Welcome to our home for resources in support of our military families at Salt Creek.

If you are a new family moving into the Salt Creek area – WELCOME! You will enjoy our school and community! We have a wonderful Parent Teacher Group (PTG), lots of parent engagement, a variety of after school programs, and about 30% of our students participate in the Spanish Dual Immersion Program. Salt Creek is one of the larger schools in the Chula Vista Elementary School District with an average enrollment of about 850 students TK-6th grade. Our registration process for the 2024-2025 school year began in February, and although we are hopeful to accommodate all of our resident students, some grade levels may already be full. We take registrations in the order in which they are received, and for any families registering later, we do inform you of the possibility of being overflowed to a nearby school until space becomes available. In the event that this happens to any families, the district provides free transportation. We hope to make your transition to Salt Creek a smooth one! We are excited to have our Military Families Support Program to assist families transitioning into our school community, as well as provide support throughout the school year. Funded through a grant through the Department of Defense, teams from seven CVESD schools received training and resources from the Military Child Education Coalition.
